Building a Book Review Network with Deborah Chase January 2022

When Deborah started in publishing, book reviews were used primarily on a book jacket or in a press release. A good review was nice to have but not a critical factor in book sales. That was then. Now book reviews are a critical part of book marketing. Readers continue to check online reviews to decide if they should buy a book.

This workshop will explore how to get book reviews and where to use them. Obviously, Amazon is a major platform for reviews, but this workshop will also drill into the dynamics of reviews on BookBub, Goodreads, and Reedsey. In closing, this workshop will outline how to build your own book review network that will support you and your colleagues.
