Is Writer’s Block Normal?

Is Writer’s Block normal? Fact: it is! Many writers encounter moments where they feel as if they can’t find the next word to put on the page. What can you do about that? Get up and away from your desk for some fresh air. Read a good book. Listen to music. Watch a movie. Break from your normal routine. If you normally write on a computer, pull out a pen and pad of paper. See what happens. The most important thing to remember about Writer’s Block is that you can’t edit a blank page. Sit down and write, even if you think it’s not any good. In time, the words will come.

Congratulations Caryl Janis on Your New Release

Congrats to Carol B. on her new contract!

Congratulations to LSF Writers Member Carol B. writing as Caryl Janis who just signed a contract with The Wild Rose Press for her mystery novel To Sketch a Killer. Set in 1977 NYC, it’s the story of a young artist who stumbles on a murder victim near her workplace. Using her sketching and amateur sleuthing skills to help solve the crime, she soon gets into serious danger — and falls for the police detective on the case.
